About

Mike White (b. 1996) is an interdisciplinary artist based in New York.

Working across a range of media including glass, metal, and film, his work addresses issues pertaining to interpersonal power dynamics, social conditioning, borders, and labor. Throughout his works and curatorial practice, personal experience is used to discuss larger universal themes, often with a focus on dichotomies of public/private space, interiority/exteriority and power imbalance. A frequent motif in this work is the incorporation of two figures to discuss the dynamics between people or the change one undergoes over a period of time.

His work has been exhibited in Zverev Center of Contemporary Art in Moscow, Mana Contemporary in New Jersey, The Cosmopolitan in Warsaw, The Palazzo Cenci in Rome, The Castello Sforzesco in Milan, and the Shanghai Museum of Glass in Shanghai.

He graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2018.
